Somewhere Between

36”x48”
oil on canvas

Somewhere between
the light and the shadows
somewhere between
the dusk and the dawn
somewhere between
a spring and a fountain
a sleeve wore a heart
and a note became a song.

Somewhere between
a spore and a forest
somewhere between
a glance and a gaze
somewhere between
the moss and the velvet
thunder became a strike
and the day lived in a haze.

Somewhere between
the honey and the suckle
somewhere between
the meadow and the lark
somewhere between
the passion and the flower
a heart became a throb
and my eyes held the stars.

Somewhere between
the sweetness and the sorrow
somewhere between
the lines being crossed
somewhere between
the full and the hollow
a sigh became a scream
and a found became a lost.
